The Northern Territory Government has implemented a youth curfew in Alice Springs after a family dispute sparked a riot in the town. 60 police officers will be deployed to the 'Red Centre' in a bid to enforce the curfew for the next fortnight. The curfew will apply between 6pm and 6am for those under 18 years old. Police have conceded that they didn't have adequate resources to control this week's riots. Some of the violence is related to the death of an 18-year-old earlier this month.
